Privacy Policy

1. Data controller and contact channels

SEOMOS is responsible for the processing of personal data collected directly through this site and its commercial channels, unless it is expressly stated that it is acting as a processor on behalf of a client.

For requests regarding personal data, write with the subject “Data protection”. In section 9 you will find the information needed to process inquiries, corrections, revocations or deletions.

2. Scope of this policy

This policy covers the data we receive when you visit the site, complete a form, subscribe to the newsletter, request a proposal, agree to be contacted via WhatsApp, interact with a SEOMOS campaign, or maintain a business relationship with us.

When SEOMOS provides services to a client and processes information according to their instructions, that client may be the data controller and SEOMOS may act as the data processor. In such cases, the client's contract, instructions, and policy also apply.

3. Personal data that we process

The specific information depends on the interaction. We can address the following categories:

On the site's forms, IP addresses may be used temporarily for abuse controls and request limiting. Hosting, security, and infrastructure providers may also generate technical logs that include IP and device data.

We do not knowingly request sensitive data or information from children or adolescents through our marketing forms. If a specific need requires processing special information, the purpose will be explained and the corresponding authorization will be requested.

4. Purposes and bases of the processing

We process your data for specific, legitimate purposes related to our business. Depending on the case, this processing is based on your consent, pre-contractual measures requested by you, the performance of a contract, a legal obligation, or legitimate interests that do not override your rights.

Purpose Typical data Applicable basis

Manage opportunities, clients, projects, support, and communications Contact information, business history, contractual and administrative data Execution of the relationship and legal obligations

Send newsletter and editorial communications Email and subscription status Consent; you can withdraw it at any time
Measure performance, navigation, campaigns, and conversions Events, URL, device, IP and identifiers Consent where required and limited legitimate interest
Prevent abuse, fraud, spam, and security incidents IP address, technical logs, date, time, and request identifiers Security, compliance and legitimate interest
To comply with accounting, contractual, regulatory or judicial obligations Administrative, contractual and contact information Legal obligation or exercise of rights

We do not use personal data for purely automated decisions that produce legal effects or equivalent impacts on individuals. We may use automation to classify requests, avoid duplicates, assign tasks, or measure campaigns, always with the possibility of human review when appropriate.

5. Authorization and commercial communications

When authorization is required, SEOMOS endeavors to obtain it before processing and retains evidence of the channel, date, and purpose for which authorization was given. Authorization may be obtained through checkboxes, forms, messages, contractual documents, or other verifiable means.

Accepting the processing necessary to respond to a request does not obligate you to subscribe to the newsletter. You can withdraw your consent for marketing communications without affecting services already contracted or processing that must continue for a different legal basis.

SEOMOS does not sell personal data as a business practice. Nor does it share contact databases with third parties for the purpose of marketing their own products without authorization or a valid justification.

6. Suppliers, processors and recipients

We use vendors who support the operation of the site and business processes. They only receive the information necessary to provide their service, under their terms, contracts, and security measures. As of this update, the main categories include:

7. International Transfers and Treatment

SEOMOS operates with infrastructure and providers that may process or host information outside of Colombia or the country from which you are accessing the site. When an international transmission or transfer occurs, we strive to use providers with commitments to privacy and security, limit data to the contracted purpose, and apply the mechanisms required by applicable regulations.

A provider's location may vary depending on its cloud architecture, sub-processors, or operating region. You can request additional information about the recipient categories applicable to your situation through the privacy channel.

8. Cookies, local storage and similar technologies

The site may use cookies, pixels, local storage, and session storage. These technologies serve different functions:

You can block or delete cookies from your browser. Some essential functions may not work correctly if you disable them. Where the law requires consent for non-essential technologies, that consent must be able to be given or withdrawn without affecting strictly necessary functions.

9. Information preservation

We retain data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the stated purpose, the contractual relationship, responding to requests, defending rights, and fulfilling legal obligations. We do not apply a single retention period to all categories.

When processing is no longer necessary, the data is deleted, anonymized or restricted, unless there is a valid obligation to retain it.

10. Rights of data subjects

According to Colombian data protection legislation, you can:

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or another jurisdiction with additional rights, and that regulation applies to the processing, you can also request limitation, portability, objection, deletion or withdrawal of consent, and file a complaint with the competent authority.

If the request is incomplete, we may request the information necessary to process it.

These terms follow Articles 14 and 15 of the Law 1581 of 2012. The Superintendency of Industry and Commerce publishes additional information on rights and procedures.

12. Information Security

We implement administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to prevent loss, alteration, unauthorized access, misuse, or disclosure. These may include access controls, encryption in transit, backups, updates, abuse protection, event logging, and role-based restrictions.

No system is infallible. If you identify a potential vulnerability or unauthorized use related to SEOMOS, report it immediately to info@seomos.com without including unnecessary sensitive data.

13. Minors

SEOMOS's website and commercial services are directed at businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If a parent or guardian believes that a minor has submitted information without authorization, they can request its review and deletion through our privacy channel.
